I am absolutely thrilled with my new roof and skylight installed by Balken Roofing! The roof pitch on my house is extremely steep, with an old 1970s acrylic dome skylight at the top. The crew was quick, efficient, made sure to protect the surrounding vegetation, and did an outstanding cleanup job afterwards. Rotted plywood was replaced, as well as matching tongue & groove for the porch which required a trip to a local lumber yard. A skilled carpenter worked alongside the skylight installer to replace the skylight and old exterior and interior trim. Thank you Chad Balken for your support, and all of the crew who spent a long hard day working at my house. My new skylight and roof are amazing!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We’ve used this company twice now, and both experiences have been truly 5-star from start to finish with Balken Roofing. The first time was a full roof replacement back in 2017, and the quality of their work, communication, and overall professionalism was outstanding. They completed the job on time, kept everything clean, and clearly take pride in their craftsmanship. The warranty they provided also gave us a lot of confidence long-term. More recently, we had them back for gutter installation and gutter guards on a guest house, and once again they exceeded expectations. They handled everything with the same level of detail, responsiveness, and professionalism we remembered from before. If you’re looking for a roofing contractor in Western North Carolina, including areas like Fairview, for roof replacement, roof repair, gutter installation, or gutter guards, I highly recommend them. It’s hard to find a roofing company this reliable and consistent over multiple projects and years. Highly recommend!

We had our garage & house fully re-roofed within 2 weeks of Steve coming out to take a look and price it out. The last homeowners did a diy and Balken came in and did a fantastic job! They had to replace about 11 sheets of plywood between the garage & house, plus a 2x4. The workers were professional and all in sync with one another. They worked quickly and efficiently in 30 degree weather. I really thought the price was going to be more than it was but it wasn't. You can't beat the 50 yr warranty with 25 yr labor warranty. Very happy with our new roofs.

Daniel and the crew at Balken were great to work with. Very responsive on getting out to give a quote and providing solutions to some difficult parts of the roof. Team came out and did the full install in just a couple of days. Very hard working, fast and thorough. And a good cleanup as well. Balken had been recommended by a couple of friends, and I highly recommend as well.
