Local Roofing Contractor sponsoring No Roof Left Behind™ free roof give away for one Asheville & surrounding county homeowner in need *

Asheville, North Carolina – Our Balken Roofing team has partnered up with No Roof Left Behind as we are now accepting nominations for a free roof on our website at, BalkenRoofing.com.

There are a few conditions for the program. Nominees must own the home they are living in and be a resident of Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, Haywood, Transylvania, or McDowell County.  Also, the free roof recipient must be current on his/her mortgage payments. Nominees will be accepted until June 30, 2014.  Our Balken Team will review all the nominees and four will be selected as finalists.

The four finalists’ stories and photos will be displayed on our Balken Roofing’s No Roof Left Behind homepage.  From July 14-August 15, 2014 the public will able to vote on the finalist they feel is most deserving.  The roof winner will be revealed online on August 25, 2014 and the installation celebration will be held shortly thereafter.

Our Balken family is celebrating 3 generations in the roofing industry. “We don’t just work in Buncombe County. We live here, shop here and have raised our families here. We wanted to let the community know just how important they are to us,” says Bob Balken, president of Balken Roofing.  “We have always been involved in community projects since we started our business. Giving away a free roof seemed like a logical way to do that, and this is a very creative way to get the community to join us.”

One of the most important things to our Balken Roofing family is community outreach. When a fellow contractor from Tarpon Springs, FL highlighted the No Roof Left Behind program as a way to thank communities for their support, Bob Balken knew it would be a great fit for the big hearted team at Balken Roofing. “We are just so excited about implementing a philanthropic program like this at home,” says Balken. “It is just a natural fit here in Asheville and surrounding areas. We recognize that not everyone can afford to get his or her roof replaced. But having a secure roof overhead can bring peace of mind to a family in need.”

Other local businesses are asked to show their community appreciation as well.  “We think it’s a great way to rally the community together,” offers Chad Balken, residential estimator at Balken Roofing. “That’s why we’re inviting other local county businesses to show support by way of donations. You don’t have to swing a hammer or even get dirty to help out. Just give us a call and we’ll find a place for you.”
